Pretending there actually is an "anti-American left" is what causes Bush supporters to mischaracterize Deans' support. The few stories I've seen that tried to be anti-American leftists read more like artful shills than anything representative. You could as easily use the phrase "anti-American right", and include managers of Enron-type multinational corporations sending jobs and profits offshore, while donating millions to politicians to maintain their leverage over the American people. Re: "anti-American left", you'll get a different story from the protesters, just as in february -- pbs.org
