Kerry was hard at work trying to end the war 3 years before the first US pull-outs and five years before it was finally over.

Three years is a long time and a ton of US troops died in that period. Your haughty cynicism about the tens of thousands of Americans who died is sad. It seems you have no respect for either our war heros or war victims, especially if they're not American. Consider the fact that about 400,000 of our allies died and 700,000 of our enemies, who now are no longer our enemies. Plus maybe millions if wounded and ruined lives and in today's dollar terms trillions in tax-payer money, mostly deficit financing, big chunks of which also then went to Bectel and Halliburton (Brown + Root). Same old game huh? Just no oil that time around.
