BUSH DESTROYS AMERICA, CAN WE BE SAVED? Lizzie, Re: It will take two full terms, 8 years for the next president to recover from this. Looking at the economic data, it took Clinton about that long to heal from the devastating debt bomb that Reagan-Bush created. However, some of what Bush is doing is causing irreparable harm. Bankruptcies are up 100% YoY, and many of them are needless. They wouldn't have occurred with an economy that was managed better. Ecological damage is being done with the spectacularly obnoxious coalbed methane natural gas extraction that is permanently poisoning rangeland throughout the West. Asthma attacks are going to be going up geometrically, if not exponentially with Bush's roll backs on clean air standards. The damage that Bush is inflicting may never be healed. He's a plague on the physical U.S. and its people's health. And did I mention the great boom in the poverty rolls he's creating?
