Likely drivers of demand include Intel's bundle of chips for mobile computers dubbed Centrino, which Otellini disclosed has generated $2 billion in sales in the first nine months on the market. He also projected sales of 100,000 of the company's Itanium chips in 2003. That is well ahead of analyst forecasts that 22,000 servers using that chip would be sold this year.
