The Moscow energy grid Mosenergo is negotiating a possible sale of a 5-percent or 10-percent stake with its strategic investors, Dmitry Vasilyev, the Senior Deputy General Director of Mosenegro, announced today. Experts name the Moscow government as the most probable buyer of the stake, as it is interested in increasing its stake in Mosenergo. According to unverified data, the Moscow government already controls about 10 percent of Mosenergo shares. The stake can also go to Gazprom that controls, according to unverified data, about 15 percent in the energy grid. The cost of a 10-percent stake in Mosenergo, currency owned by minority shareholders, is about $200m. |
