Seeker: Single, lengthy o.t.: Though I was only a few months old for it at the time, one of the first things I think started my cynicism was the Kennedy assassination, and seeing this History Channel series on the likelihood of Lee Harvey Oswald to be the "patsy" for the mob getting millions of "profits" shaved from Cuba, CIA (some members who were part of the mob as well), fearing a rollback in jurisdiction to their original intended functions by Truman. LBJ (his rise to power elevated by bodies of political opponents, literally) having his own attorney and mistress come out on this program, saying He got the "job done" in Dallas, as with hie earlier "box 13" vote scandal. Kennedy, they were saying wanted the US out of Viet Nam by 1965-something he war machine would not understand. Makes you wonder what life would be like If his decision wasn't turned around on a dime by those in charge when he died. This not three days after mob hired Marsaillean drug running assassins on the grassy knoll fired exploding bullets that splattered JFK's brain (also drawn over to look like a rear entry bullet) A VHS tape of all of it is available at History Channel. Fascinating, Tragic, worth 'losing innocence' over. |
