Thanks for the ideas ladies and germs.

I did a bunch of crunching and things seem to balance out. One of the problems with the account is the balance can move 3 or 4 grand either way depending on market mood. I generaly do not focus on my cash balance. I do now. It is possible to have the balance gst screwed up and not show up as any sort of transaction.
It is very rare ,but posible.

What these companies need to do is make it possible to hit any date on the calender in the last month and get a list of all holdings ,balances and transactions for that date. I can get a historical list of trades but not of the cash balance. This is a flaw in the accounting and record keeping in my opinion.

SUR- I agree with rocket. I already hold some SUR. It is worth a look.

UGD- is also an interesting puppy.

CQR- Those drills are a turning.

FIX- What can I say. Risky but it has that interesting smell.

BTT- I bailed. It should get cheaper before Jan. My being out is a buy signal.

gotta run
