AARP running ads here as well. Last summer I saw an article in the magazine they
publish. It was about Medicare and, at the time, I thought they would sell out to the
Republicans.

If you were eligible for their prescription benefits, I bet you'd be upset about the enormous
gap, the amount of money you have to spend, b4 you become eligible for catastrophic
coverage. Also, the new program that AARP endorses will not stop the rise in the price of prescription
medication.


I've heard on tv that most Americans want a medicare program that is similar to what
employers offer their employees, and the one that Congress proposes won't go that far.

If Bush hadn't invaded Iraq and if he hadn't given the riches people in the United States a
big tax break, we might have been able to afford a decent Medicare program.
