Yes, the geological record says that temperature behaves in ways we do not understand, sometimes stable for long periods, sometime swinging wildly. We have 30,000 years of ice-core data to look at. Industrial activity could only potentially have affected the last 150 years.

Which is why I am extremely dubious of current weather models. In a nutshell, if we don't understand what "normal" is, how can we tell if we are changing it?
