DEAN COUNTERATTACKS CLAIMS OF INCONSISTENCY

Mephisto,

One of the most scurrilous things that Dean's envious rivals have done is to accuse him of being "inconsistent". In fact, Gephardt has gone to the trouble to create an entire website devoted to this:

deanfacts.com*

In rebuttal to claims of inconsistency in an interview by the News Hour, Dean said something I strongly endorse:

"Of course I've changed my positions. You'd have to be an idiot not to change your positions based on the facts. I was a supporter of NAFTA and I was a supporter of the WTO. But the evidence is that they haven't helped working people in America. They haven't created new jobs."

GO HOWARD!

"When the facts are unclear, I keep an open mind. And what do you do, sir?" -- John M. Keynes rebutting a detractor in the 1930s.
