Since you apparently know about the thinking of these people, I would very much appreciate it if you would please tell me who they are and what they are about and maybe what they hope to achieve by blowing people up?

It seems Westerners, particularly Americans, know more about Al-Qaeda than anyone else. I never hear any commentary from Muslims or Arabs about them. Whenever a bomb goes off anywhere, US and UK commentators on TV know exactly and immediately that it was the work of Al-Qaeda, even if someone else claims responsibility.

I know the CIA originally armed and trained bin Laden and his mujahaddein in Afghanistan and these, apparently, became Al-Qaeda. But then I understand that the organization, or most of it, was destroyed in the US attack on Afghanistan. So what can possibly be going on now? Are a handful of stragglers hoping to take over the world --- or just destroy it? And, for no reason --- other than that they don't like Western "democracy"?

You might find this apparent connection between Al_Qaeda and the Jewish/Israeli diamond industry to be of interest.
