Hi All,

I just wanted to warn any of you that are considering using Vonage, you need to be aware of a couple of issues that they do not address when you sign up for the service. Vonage was unable to port my number which resulted in me having to cancel the service. I found that Vonage had taken the liberty of placing several charges for service that I have never utilized or received. I had to spend over an hour on the phone with at least 4 different persons only to have them refund a small portion of what they had charged my credit card. After returning the equipment, I will still be out over $40 for a service in which I was able to receive not a single telephone call. Buyer beware as this company clearly does not have it's act together in terms of customer service and billing. At least with the CLEC or ILEC, I can have any issue taken care of by a single person and not get the run-around and shaft that Vonage has so skillfully mastered here. Learn from my lesson and remember........just because it rides on a data pipe........it doesn't make it better.
