Can anyone add to this thought ?

I know that there are start-up companies working on a box(s) to allow voice, data and video(CATV) services to the home using a broadband connection. The basic premis is that we'd buy our landline phone, our broadband internet connection and out TV services from one company.

Basically it's all comes into you home or office via IP on your broadband pipe like DSL. My sense is this set of services will be available to us within 12 months from the likes of Bellsouth.

I'm just starting to research this for my own investment purposes and only know of a couple of start-up private companies making product.

Are there companies already providing this type of "box" ?

Are there any Bell or CATV companies already bundling the 3 services together ?

Is it over anything other than DSL and CATV broadband connections ?

Thnx for any input,

Mike
