Raging Bull sucks.

Michael

Hah, here's a great example of what I mean. Just a few moments ago I tried to reply to post made on one of the RB boards and got this reply from RB.

"Oops! You aren't allowed to do that just yet...

In order to post, create a member forum, and use certain other features, you must be "email verified." This process ensures better quality on the boards, and less spam from users who use fake email addresses.

What is email verification?
It's easy. You must send us an email, and then let us reply to that email with a message containing further instructions to verify your identity. This process confirms you are the owner of that email account, and are not going to spam the boards. Complete the email-verification process now."

After my usual double-take, I confirmed for myself that I was logged in properly. Tried the procedure again...twice and could not successfully post my reply. On the outside chance that RB was indeed intentionally trying to eliminate dead accounts I went ahead and attempted to complete the 'verification process'. All I got was a dead screen for my troubles. It's not the first time I've seen this particular RB response come up inappropriately. I'll try to post again tomorrow. I bet tomorrow it doesn't ask me to verify my account.

I predict they will be out-of-business or assimilated within the next year or two.
