Yes, the world is not impressed with Bush. But the world is infatuated with America. Even Kim Jong Il loves America, and is a big movie buff.

The world knows that Bush is only a temporary bout of insanity. The world knows that Bush was narrowly selected by a majority vote in the Supreme Court. They see that normalcy and greatness will return, after we purge the anomaly.

And what's up with Tommy Franks shooting his mouth off about martial law if we are attacked by a WMD? Talk about giving comfort to the enemy! That idiot ought to be brought up on treason charges. This country will not need martial law. We have survived an attack on Pearl Harbor without the need for martial law. We have been at war before, and a democracy is the best way to ensure the safety of the people in a war. Where the heads of many can remain cool in the face of any adversity.

In fact the martial law idea would be bad, putting all the power in the hands of the President I presume. That would be a catastrophe, especially if Bush declared martial law. There would likely be much internal strife to deal with too. That would make the war on the terrorists look like a picnic. Americans are not going to accept martial law.
