We should also remember that religious freedom was one of the principle reasons America was founded.

I never forget that. I think the "theocrats" do, though, which is why I was so pleased to see the potential sting of theocracy pointed out to them. I think folks who want a strong tie between government and religion generally assume that the adopted religion will be theirs, and that's not necessarily so.
