bomb

Bombing Iraq for more than a decade did not work. Why would it work with Iran or Syria? Iran in particular, with its long border along the Persian Gulf and the strait of Hormuz, can seriously disrupt the oil trade. And if it replaces Afghanistan as a sponsor of Al Queda, bombing will be as effective as Clinton's Afghanistan cruise missile strikes.

There are only two alternatives for winning the war on terror: bring back the draft, increase drastically military expenditures and convert the US into an armed camp, or try to get most of the rest of the world to actively help us by avoiding offending everybody via wars like the one in Iraq. The first alternative is not viable in the long term, IMO.
