The QLogic release on the Microsoft approved iSCSI HBA is only part of the story. Here is a link to a Byte and Switch article ("Microsoft Blesses iSCSI Hardware") on the Microsoft iSCSI initiative that also includes Cisco and Intel in the mix tinyurl.com Looks like a move to take more storage market share by companies who traditionally were less focused on it. Kind of reminiscent of the old GE vs FC debate on the LAN side. George D.
