I could be wrong but I look at a nations population growth similar to the way I look at tech stocks which are not growing.

Either you're healthy and growing, or slowly decaying and dying. Cultures which are not growing but contracting, are slowly dying.

I look around and see so little children in Italy it saddens me. My three kids typically take over any play areas we see such as at the mall. Unusual to see any couples with two children.
