LB, We all agree that a fetus is a potential human being from day one. The real question is when it attains legal status so that it cannot be harmed. A compomise cannot be on day 1 or day 269 so the religious extreme never can be happy nor can the folks who think it ok to have an abortion the day before birth. For most americans there are markers along the way. We know a fetus can survive in the last three months so for me that is verboten territory for abortions. In the first three months there is no way a fetus could survive so the fact that i wouldnt have one personally in my family, doesnt mean "choice" wouldnt protect a womens right. So we are down to a three month window to have a realistic settlement that 80-90% of americans can agree to, thus taking this issue out of politics. Thats as far as i go with this argument right now.
