"Kennedy spent about 20% of the GDP on defense."

With all due respect, where the hell do you get
your numbers? I mean, really???

Do even you understand what is meant by the term "GDP"?

You post a lot to this forum, but you often spout
so-called "facts" with absolutely no justification.
Maybe you should spend MORE time looking up and
understanding the facts and LESS time posting...

The truth is this:

Kennedy spent 9% of GDP on defense.
This was 50% of the total federal budget
(i.e., the total federal budget was 18% of GDP
during the Kennedy era).

Bush is presently spending 4% of GDP on defense.
This is only 20% of the total federal budget
(i.e., the total federal budget is currently 20% of GDP).
