That's "martial", not "Marshall".

And there are other instances. McArthur is one. He seemed determined to fight his own war and set his own foreign policy in Korea. A little guy by the name of Harry Truman convinced him this was not a viable plan.

If you wish to believe one general mouthing off means the end of the Republic, you may do so. It's a free country. Still.
