None of those are mainstream positions. Sanctions against the Saudis, are you kidding? Not while they supply our oil. Last time a dem tried that they gave us an oil embargo and wrecked our economy.

Bush has a lot of clout with the Saudis but hasn't used it. But sanctions, that's a radical idea. So is insisting that world labor match US labor standards. Dean is very left-wing. Deanies just don't want to see that. His 15% support amongst the Dem party is almost all left-wingers, anti-war marchers, greens, college types, socialist workers, etc. When my brother was supporting dean he told me that the US military is to blame for Iraq. Many Deanies hate the military. In the general election all these Dean positions are poison.
