Where is the Bio Roller Coaster Headed. Any Ideas?: Biotech stocks in general closed lower over the week ending 11-21-03. The AMEX Biotechnology Index (BTK) was down 1.42%, while the BioBizNet Select Index (BBNSI) declined 1.31%. However some individual gainers were AMGN, LMNX, TLRK (see biobiznet.com). Also, it looks like after a sharp run up in the BTK in April and May, the BTK has been oscillating approximately between 425 and 495 without a definite trend in either direction over the last six months (see YTD or annual chart for the BTK). So until I see a big move in either direction it's hard to make predictions about the biotech sector right now. Any ideas?
