I sympathize with your viewpoint and do agree that this thread is not as 'fun' as it once had been. I've considered abandoning it altogether, but for the fact that great stock picks still do manifest themselves. The ratio of political trash talking versus stock related posts is certainly on the rise. I suppose it's a reflection of the discontent that many Westerners are feeling. More and more people are making a habit out of complaining. Bitching and moaning is practically fashionable. The Internet makes us think we're experts on all the various topics. We're quick to jump down the throat of another if their stance on an issue differs. Meanwhile, we fool ourselves into believing that, in the grand scheme of things, such brazen comments actually make a measurable difference. <sigh> What ever happened to conscious enjoyment, instead of purposeful haste? This is the true suffering in the wake of 9/11, more so than the fear of renewed attacks. jmo
