Terrific finds. Don't forget the savings in costs of actual care by reduced profiteering. In Switzerland they discovered the non-subsidized single-pay plan cut 2/3rds of drug costs, and that's just a start. Healthcare providers are private enterprise, they just don't get away with the kind of legalized bribery they do here.

Let's get our hospitals to look more like dowdy places of competence and quality care, rather than these palaces and empires of misinformation.

Take out bureaucracy and overcharging and our total costs go down, along with taxes. And quality goes up, imo. I've had too many incidents of bad information for medical procedures, which inevitably led not to better care, but were higher cost and higher profits for the providers.

What your links indicate is a medical system that is already socialized, just done so in a way that maximizes the chance for predators and fraud, increased obfuscating procedures and reduced oversight. Bottom line, it's been developed for maximum political campaign contributions, which has been the driving force in all the decisions leading to this sorry state.
