We have Kaiser HMO, which is one of the cheapest, and just got the information for 2004 - $88 per biweek for family coverage. $10 copay for regular visits, $20 copay for specialists, and they have a good prescription plan, too, $10 copay for generic, $20 to $40 for non-generic.

Some generics are cheaper to get filled at a regular pharmacy, like levothyroid, that's only $8 at Costco.

People can save an enormous amount of money taking generic drugs. Generic tyenol with codeine would be $30 or so at Costco, much cheaper than the fancy new synthetic opiates, and less addictive.
