Jon, It appears my hard drive is going to die soon. For the past two days, when I start the computer, my winxp pro goes into chkdsk mode, goes through it, then boots up. Then, everything is normal. It did it twice in the past few days. Also, win xp pro is taking lot of time to boot the system. Called tech support. They claim that I need new hard drive soon. Do you think, I need a new hard drive soon? If so, what's best way to get new hard drive into action before the old one dies. I've backed up my data files on Iomega zip drive. I even backed up my outlook express. Regards.
