CORRECT: Merrill Sees Atria Spinning Off Food Unit In '04

Altria Group's board "may well elect to spin off its global food unit during the later part of 2004," Merrill Lynch wrote in a research note Friday.

(A headline and story at 9:51 a.m. EDT incorrectly said the spinoff would occur in 2005.)
