T, I think you unfairly demean the Nuclear/Hydrogen pork. My understanding; this is intended to fund a pilot/research plant in Idaho, to demonstrate the cogeneration of Hydrogen with electrical power. Perhaps akin to piloting a natGas fired "Combined Cycle" plant, rather than just building more simple cycle jet turbines driving a generator. Domenici wanted loan guarantees to construct (and perhaps complete TVA plants?) more nukes. I think it makes sense to see if this new cogen concept works before pouring more concrete. BWDIK?
