Karen, I was a trainee in 1972 earning a pittance and was able to support a wife and young baby. Impossible to do today. And in reality i see my kids working harder than i did at the same time. They are also far more tired. I think its another generational myth of boomers that we work so hard. Particular in the late 90 boom years, I witnessed work ethic by the younger generation that i couldnt even imagine for us. I continue to see that. The point of all of this is that I can help my kids thru this time. What i worry about is kids with parents who cant. I believe this is a coming national crisis as the middle class continue s to shrink. What is needed is a New Democratic or Independent party geared to the young and the middle class. Mike
