Dan, et al,

I didn't find anything in Barron's this week about PMs. It may be of interest that Epstein, in his Economic Beat column, presented the bullish case improved employment going into 2004, while Abelson offered his bearish view. An article in the Economist is probably of greater interest. It argues that countries are going bankrupt and presents a table of debt as a percentage of GPD showing that we are worse off than most European Countries - surprising.

The GMI/POG ratio:

On 11/20, the Barron's GMI was 691.01 up from the previous week's 672.78. With the POG down at 395.50 (11/21) the ratio was up slightly at 1.75.

The ratio a years ago was 1.23.
