Interesting questions...my sense was that management's ambition to move into a profitable position is generally shared by the employees. CKFR spends a good deal of effort communicating their goals, strategy, and progress with the troops. Employees feel that the company will be very successful, that it's market position couldn't be better, and the mgmt team is capable of reaching their goals.

That being said....remember that CKFR is an amalgamation of different companies which have been acquired over recent years. This resulted in numerous offices scattered over the country -- Columbus, Atlanta, Chicago, Jersey City etc. Most of the mgmt team is located in Atlanta now, which is viewed as headquarters now (Columbus was the original CKFR h.q); the other offices tend to service specific divisions -- Jersey City for Investment Services, Columbus for billpay etc. And morale in these offices varies -- I heard comments like "they only care about bill pay...all the old guard is leaving Columbus and I don't want to move to Atlanta...Ckfr Corporate in Atlanta is taking over our marketing..."etc. In short, bellyaching for the old days.
Overall I think that morale is good in spite of lots and lots of changes in organizational structure.
