Where i really disagree with you is your inability to see strong families with at least a couple of kids as an asset for society.

Oh, I see them as an asset for society, all right. We need strong families to produce the next generation of contributors. All families aren't strong ones, though, and I want to discourage the weak ones. The weak ones produce more problems for society. Gotta keep down the proportion of weak ones by discouraging those that don't have the right stuff from turning out more people who don't have the right stuff. Part of having the right stuff is having the kind of love that puts kids above sports cars, the kind of competence that teaches competence, the kind of responsibility that trains responsibility.

But i am one who is willing to fiddle a bit to get things done that society needs.

Fiddling is fine as long as it isn't self defeating by sending the wrong message. "The world owes you a living" is one of many wrong messages. There is lots of opportunity for constructive fiddling out there.
