Oh, cry me a river. They seethe with virulent hatred of "Crusaders and Jews", and we're supposed to walk on eggshells.

We’re supposed to be different from them, remember? It is in our interest to underscore that difference, which is why the administration has been stressing at every possible opportunity that this is not a religious war. We want to cast this as a fight between a tolerant, progressive, civilized secular society and a bunch of fundamentalist wackos, not a fight between two bunches of fundamentalist wackos.
