Reminds me of Vietnam, more every day.

Either you weren't around for Vietnam or don't know much about it. There is zero similarity between the situation in Iraq and that in Vietnam, and when someone draws such a comparison it is clear they are ignorant of the subject.

In Vietnam we were fighting an organized military, not terrorists. They had leadership, structured supply lines, and a sole purpose. In the current struggle we're dealing with an insurgency that simply will have to be fought through. There is, of course, the leadership issue, as well -- in Vietnam we were under the leadership of weak liberals (Kennedy first, then Johnson) who didn't have the stomach for what had to be done. In this instance, we have a smart, determined, minimally political president who knows what the hell has to be done and is making it happen. There are many other differences. The only similarity, in fact, is that they are both wars.
