Yup, want my initial impressions of Naples? 1. Way too crowded for my liking. 2. 4-7 story apartment houses run amock! They are everywhere. It looks like the architechs immigrated to Watts or Harlem. 3. Driving here is a total nightmare! What looks like two lane roads become anywhere from 3-5 lane in a moments notice. There are absolutely no rules in driving. If I survive this rental car without getting in an accident, it will only be because the Gods are shining on me. :) 4. Downtown there is a wonderful plaza which looks like something out of the Roman era. People walking everywhere at night. Quite nice... 5. We had a wonderful dinner across the street from some huge castle downtown. I wish I had more time to look around during the day. Overall, the place looks sorta third world during the day, but nice at night. I definitely like Sardinia much better. Especially Palau. Catching a flight soon.
