I don't know the current numbers. But over much of the past decade California spent as much on its prison system as it did on its educational system. And America, a free nation, imprisons more per capita than other countries. There's something wrong with this picture. It ain't the way it really ought to be! Regarding the building of infrastructure here or there? evworld.com Hey, I like the idea of helping to build your neighbor's house even though your own is falling apart. But think seriously. Should we really be doing this in Iraq? And were oil not involved would we be doing it all?
