Well I don't know how much money sun ever made from packaged enterprise software like iPlanet that they sell. I have said repeatedly that Sun's efforts to make money in enterprise software have failed and that is unfortunate for Sun, but now we have a new shift going on to services and imho Sun should be able to play well there, so however they failed in the past is irrelevant. The hardware vendors will profit at the expense of the big software like Oracle imho. And at this point, any kind of transition in IT is better than what we've had in the last 3 years, total stagnation.

Also the IT vendors like Sun suffered when everybody moved their backoffice to India, and now some of that is coming back home, so that is another catalyst for Sun growth.
