Arris, I was under the impression the Sequoia and Aspen may have once again put Acuson in the lead, at least over the HDI 3000 (see www3.techstocks.com. I am very curious about the HDI5000 but haven't yet spoken to anyone who has seen it. Based on ATL's web page "http://www.atl.com/prod/r1715gi.html" I'm guessing that it is an incremental advance over the 3000 (or at least I'm inferring this from the web page's statement that "All HDI 3000 systems can be upgraded to full HDI 5000 capabilities on-site.") and not a wholly new technology. You said she said they "need competative scientific improvements". Both companies are making some significant advances (i.e. "http://www.emcnews.com/Acuson/press-conf/index.html" sounds impressive). Do you know in what area does she think they need these advances? Ron
