I think what's happening is American corporations are making enormous profits by moving operations overseas and realizing tremendous labor cost savings. This is resulting in a loss of American jobs while our economy apparently "grows" by the standard metrics. The Bush-monkey admin., totally aligned with corporations and going in to an election cycle where they still need to raise $120 million to reach their $200 million target, don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. But they've already lost 3.3 million votes...
