And it certainly wasnt clintons fault either. Five american admins ignored and sometimes excaserbated the problem starting probably with Carter, and ending with pre-9/11 Bush#43. It was the event that woke some of us up(me included).
As an aside Gore was back in the NYTimes with another nauseating attack ad on Bush. It still would not surprise me at all if it was HE, not Hilary who is planning on becoming the White Knight in case of DEM deadlock. Kinda makes you want to throw up. Mike
