just wish he'd come back and announce he was going fishing.....gold often rallied on those occasions. As I remember, he was a EE...those folks require logic and predictability. Reading his posts, I sensed his increasing frustration with the irrationality of this market....it's simple, really: the stock market is rigged. I accept that as a given. Everything is tilted, if anything, away from reality. It's crooked and nothing short of burning it down will change it. Increasingly, every statistic is distorted/spun to support some bullish viewpoint, often absurdly so. The best advice I got was to never short in a bear market: the boyz will squeeze you because they know exactly where the short interest is....the corallary is never buy puts in this bear market: crushing them is now likened to defending the Fatherland. The stock market is said to be dumb money....maybe it is dumb to play in a game of rank speculation in which the information playing field is so grossly distorted against the average investor and where the well-connected pros get away with murder... better to be the CEO of an internet IPO...just print up certs and grant yourself options....and then, to hell with the stock market.
