They keep coming back because economic conditions suck from where they come. Illegal immigration provides Mexico and Central America with another income source [most illegals send 50-60% of their paychecks back home] as well as a safety valve for its own economic problems.It provides us with very cheap labor. When they beefed up the borders in the early and mid ninties, more illegals were caught but they often came back multiple times. Interestingly enough, the increased INS funding that was paying for more border guards was not renewed as economic conditions improved in the US in the mid to late ninties. ted
