Actually, I hate that 'flow-of-consciousness' stuff. I like plain English and people willing to make sharp points that can be clearly understood and rebuked (if necessary).

However, Doug's post did bring up a couple of interesting questions.

1) How many new members has Silicon Investor acquired recently?

My pet theory is not many. The reason there are so many Yahoos on Yahoo and junk peddlers on RB is because it is free. I doubt the average message board 'agitator' is the least bit interested in paying a membership to SI and take the risk of being tou'ed the next day.

2) Will SI and iHub be combined as one?

I've only recently come to this thread. Perhaps this question has already been answered. If they are to be combined it makes little sense to pay for membership to SI when they will have free access to it later by joining iHub.

If anybody knows maybe they could enlighten me. Or, maybe Bob could supply some answers for us.
