that times piece shows Bush's disapproval rating at 43%.
It is impossible to win with a disapproval rating like that, UNLESS the popular vote disapproves of him and he pulls off another coup with electoral votes in the south. Even then, 43% disapproval is just too high. Unless that number gets cut in HALF I can't see how he can win.


I think it depends on what third party campaigns are run and what the economy and Iraq are doing next summer. Remember the advantage is usually to the incumbent and Bush has raised $136 million, the most in US history. And once again, he plans to use fear as to his campaign tool of choice; to whit, "My name is George W Bush and I am the war on terrorism".
