Utter nonsense. Death is not optional but taxes are. You should not use fortune-cookie platitudes as the basis for your life's philosophy.

Any government can choose not to have taxes but it will then have to: dissolve or find another source of income. Shrubbery's main man in California, the Gropen Fuhrer, has decided to delete an increase in car registration taxes in favor of borrowing from chidren.

Scientists have found some kind of sea urchin that is 200 years old and shows no sign of age related problems. It may be a dead end (haha)but perhaps in the future even death will be optional.

NYT's head foreign correspondent said that in 35 years of reporting from various hotspots, Iraq is the most dangerous place he's ever been in. Unlike other conflicts, there is no front, no line of demarcation between fighting and relative safety. There is danger everywhere.

When a rocket (he thought it was a car bomb) hit his hotel, the thought crossed his mind that this was an impossible situation, that there was no solution.

The stress on the people of Iraq and on our soldiers must be incredible.
