Thank you Richard. Interesting that you first bring out the fundamentals of each reit as to the attractiveness of each issue. My rookieness is showing. Sometimes I get so caught up in the theory of following the trend and I am really into sector rotation to such a degree that I really lack on the selection of stocks within each sector based upon fundamentals. My mother and father always would buy individual issues based on their stockbrokers analysis. I buy sectors and only through Mutual Funds. I rotate into interest rate sensitive sectors and stock sectors and bond sectors and of course cash when circumstances dictate.
From reading your post which was in depth and well appreciated I think the crux of your observations may well be centered around how much inflation the feds are willing to tolerate. The deficits compared to the amount of the GDP are well under historic maximums and I have no idea what they would be able to tolerate in the current business cycle, and yes, would you agree that all things considered this a relatively normal business cycle. The one abnormal factor is the delayed employment pickup, and I think that even the labor force will see employment pick up... have a wonderful Thanksgiving and to all please enjoy the important things in life like family and friends and let the good times roll....forget about the markets and live like a child in the present.....gregor
