Feeling safer immediately, thanks to the additional support, Bugs ... was able to push his thoughts about the terrible catastrophe happening below him as the helicopter spun around wildly, crash landing on the Salem School, out of his mind. A simple blank page (tabula rasa) pushed out thoughts of Mrs. McGregor's 3rd grade class’ current predicament. The balloons had elevated his body but a blank page elevated is spirit. Bug’s mission became clear. Later in life he would recall this one thought that crystallized his reason for being, his mission in life....
