Boykins' remarks were aimed at the terrorists, America's enemies, not at Muslims in general.

Excuse me, but how can you possibly claim that this remark is not directed at Muslims in general:

I knew that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God, and his was an idol.

I expect that kind of infantile drivel from Osama and his people; in fact that quote sounds exactly like something Osama would say. I expect better from our side.

You have disapproved all along of any remarks that call the terrorists "evil" - as simplistic and crusading.

I have pointed out that preaching absolute morality while practicing situational morality leaves one in an unnecessarily vulnerable moral position, and should be avoided. It's never wise to proclaim a standard that you aren't willing to follow.
